I've always been pretty bad at putting my thoughts into words and coherent 'paragraphs' (is this a shy kid thing? I prefer writing more than talking) There are so many things that are more important than being physically attractive but it's getting harder and harder to decenter our appearances in this digital age. I am constantly trying to balance my mental health with my vanity, as well as the desire to benefit from the privileges of being considered pretty. I have a feeling that this will be a persistent struggle until the day (if ever) that I decide to stop caring about my appearance and trying to improve/maintain it.
