A Googol is a gigantic number equal to 10¹⁰⁰, or 1 followed by 100 zeros. To put its size into perspective, a googol is vastly larger than the number of atoms in the observable universe, which is estimated to be around 10⁸⁰. The term "googol" was coined in 1938 by Milton Sirotta, the 9-year-old nephew of mathematician Edward Kasner, when Kasner asked him to name an unimaginably large number.
