ADHD and the Australian Criminal ‘Justice’ System - Dr Lorana Bartells

People with ADHD are over-represented in the criminal justice system. This presentation outlines the key issues that arise in this context and highlights future directions to ensure a more neuro-affirming approach to justice. Lorana Bartels (BA LLB LLM PhD GDLP GCTE) is a Professor of Criminology at the Australian National University. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Canberra and University of Tasmania, Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law, and Associate of the Australian ADHD Professionals Association Ltd.
